Dean Ash
Managing Director
Dean Ash has been involved in all aspects of civil construction, specialising in Subdivisional Developments. He has over 40 years industry experience and has managed civil works in both South Australia and Queensland.
Dean's substantial industry experience has established him as respected icon in the civil construction field, including with clients, engineers, local authorities and his peers.
Prior to founding Dean Ash Constructions Qld, he spent 20 years working for a large South Australian based company as Construction Manager and then Queensland General Manager .
Dean founded Dean Ash Constructions QLD in response to growing demand by clients and engineers for a more personalized approach to civil construction.
His vast experience ranges from major Main roads contracts in both South Australia and Queensland to over 250 subdivisions in the past 10 years.
Don Ford
Construction Manager
Don Ford has over 20 years experience, and has worked in nearly all facets of the civil construction industry.
Starting in 1984 with Abignano (ABI Group), Don has worked on several Main Roads projects such as the Crosby Bypass, Warrego Highway, Centenary Highway duplication, Nambour Bypass and the Maroochydore Interchange.
Don progressed from earthworks and bridge construction to a supervising position in ABI Groups road paving operation which brought about projects at Townsville army base, Rockhampton to Yeppoon connection road, Lismore airport, Brisbane airport and numerous other projects.
After managing the earthworks on the Brisbane International Airport with ABI Group and FAC, Don left ABI Group to take up a Project Supervisors position with LR&M Constructions to gain experience in the Sub-division Industry. After six years with LR&M, Don moved to his present position at Dean Ash Constructions Qld.
Don’s approachable demeanor and reputation for efficiency and getting the job done right first time, every time has grown many successful long-term relationships with both clients and engineers.
Thomas Schnieders
Senior Engineer / Construction Manager
Thomas has substantial knowledge and experience in project management and civil construction methodology.
His wide ranging experience includes Main Roads contracts, Greg Norman golf courses and residential communities, tertiary water treatment plants and subdivisional projects.
He previously worked in the position of Site Engineer on the Centenary Highway Extension, a 12 Km, $36 million road construction project involving the construction of major drainage structures and 7 bridges.
He was also Senior Site Engineer on the Landers Shute Water Alliance project, managing $10 million worth of civil structure works in relation to water retaining structures, including concrete formwork and construction, site supervision, quality control and safety management. The Lander’s Shute Water Treatment Project has produced one of Australia’s largest Tertiary Water treatment plants with a total maximum daily flow of 180ML.
Thomas Schnieders joined Dean Ash Constructions in 2004.
